Sustaining The Mission

To honor a special group of donors who’ve included Water4 in their estate plans, we (all too quietly) launched the Water4 Legacy Circle in 2019. Members of the Legacy Circle have made an important and lasting commitment to the long-term mission of eradicating the water crisis, and have given Water4 the opportunity to be a part of their lasting legacy – a responsibility and honor we don’t take lightly.

Including an organization like Water4 in your estate is known as planned giving and often allows donors to make a bigger impact than they thought possible. Planned giving is typically done as part of an estate planning process and is a viable option for donors of all income levels. Planned gifts provide flexible giving options to donors and long-term financial stability for the organizations they support. They are great for people who want to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted them with by leaving a lasting gift that will impact the world for good.

Some planned gifts lead to considerable tax savings, some provide extra income for the donor or their loved ones, some especially honor people important to the donor, and some can do all three. Whatever kind of giving strategy you have, a planned gift can help maximize giving to do the most good.

A small planned gift can make a big impact on Water4 while reducing tax liability and having a minimal impact on plans to support family.

For questions about planned giving, or to let Water4 know of your plans to include us in your estate, please contact Natalie York, CFRE, Relationships & Stewardship Officer at 405-551-8214 or legacy@water4.org.

Your will or living trust is a legal document that should be created with the help of an attorney. The following language may aid you and your attorney in preparing your bequest to Water4:

“I give, devise, and bequeath $ _______ (dollar amount, a specific asset, or percentage of my residual estate) in ______ (cash, securities, or other property) to Water4, Inc. (Tax ID #26-3260581) – an Oklahoma nonprofit corporation located at 2405 NW 10th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73107 – for Water4’s general use and purpose.”

Your gift will be unrestricted unless directed for a specific purpose by a separate gift agreement.

If you name Water4 as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan, please share your thoughtful intentions with us. This will allow us to show our sincere appreciation for your generosity, invite you to participate in the Water4 Legacy Circle, and include your support in planning for Water4’s future. Thank you.
