Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating key content and communications to engage Water4’s audiences, increase brand awareness, and expand Water4’s donor base. Reporting to, and working closely alongside, the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator will produce clear, compelling, and engaging collateral to market Water4, NUMA, and Water4 Enterprises to financial partners, stakeholders, and end-users of Water4 solutions. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will serve as a resource to the entire Water4 organization, ensuring communications across the organization are branded and in line with Water4’s tone, voice, and DNA. This role will include a strong focus on graphic design, and social media management, and requires the ability to work as a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities Will Include:

Responsibility% Time Allocation

With Marketing & Communications Manager, act as a Water4 brand authority, understanding and advising team members of the voice of Water4 language

Serve as a cross-functional design resource to all of Water4

Create digital graphics for Water4 such as email headers, social media posts, presentation slides, advertisements, and more

Build editable templates for departments within Canva (proposals, slide decks, infographics, etc.)

Develop, optimize, and execute a social media posting schedule


Maintain the appearance and messaging of Water4’s social platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

Update the Water4 website as needed

Create and maintain donor audience segments in the MailChimp email marketing platform

Manage project workflow and communications requests through Asana

Travel to office and partner sites as needed

Other tasks as needed


Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in relevant fields of Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar marketing or design role
  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge and adherence to principles of graphic design
  • Submission of artistic portfolio required upon application
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and excellent organizational skills
  • Efficient, self-led, time management skills
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other organizations with which the Office works, financial partners and prospects, and the public

Preferred Skills

  • Comfort and ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Proficiency in Asana (or other task management software), Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Salesforce (or other CRM software), WordPress, and Loomly (or other social media management software)
  • Photography and videography experience
