Meet Clarisse

My name is Clarisse Ingabire and I am a market-based WaSH (water, sanitation and hygiene) Manager at Water4. I live in Kigali, Rwanda with my mother and brothers.

I graduated with honors from the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health Science in 2013.

I joined Water4 in February 2019 after working with different organizations in various programs including WaSH, community health development, climate change, research, and women’s empowerment.

Before completing my studies, my dream was to work with a faith-based organization as my passion was to be someone who brings change and possible solutions toward improving the lives of communities.

My dream finds its place at Water4, where my passion fuels my role by improving and managing Water4’s market-based WaSH (health, hygiene, sanitation), competency development to ensure communities are healthy and thriving. My work includes developing training materials and the implementation of strategies as well as empowering teams of WaSH trainers, who then empower ongoing community embedded WaSH promoters. Water4 allows me to fulfill my destiny – serving God’s people in fullness of joy.

My favorite part of the work is conducting training, not only because it helps me to empower other people, but because it also shapes my innovation skill. I enjoy music and spending time with friends and family in my spare time.

I am so thankful to be part of a dynamic organization with passionate people who inspire me everyday.
