Leave a
Lasting Legacy

To honor a special group of donors who’ve included Water4 in their estate plans, we’re launching the Water4 Legacy Circle this summer. Members of the Legacy Circle have made an important and lasting commitment to the long-term mission of eradicating the water crisis, and have given Water4 the opportunity to be a part of their lasting legacy – a responsibility and honor we don’t take lightly.

Including an organization like Water4 in your estate is known as planned giving, and often lets you make bigger gifts than you may have thought possible. Planned giving is typically done as part of an estate planning process and is a viable option for donors of all income levels. Planned gifts provide flexible giving options to donors, while providing long-term financial stability for the organizations they support. Planned gifts are great for people who want to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted them with by leaving a lasting gift that will impact the world for good.

Some planned gifts lead to considerable tax savings, some gifts provide extra income for you or your loved ones, some gifts specially honor people important to you, and some can do all three! Whatever kind of giving strategy you use, a planned gift can help you maximize your giving to do the most good.

For those hesitant to include a non-profit in their estate plan because they want to make sure loved ones are taken care of first, it’s important to note that even a small planned gift can make a big impact on Water4 while also providing for your family and reducing your tax liability.

For questions about planned giving, or to let Water4 know of your plans to include us in your estate, please contact Michael Mitchell, Director of Development, at (405) 551-814 or michaelmitchell@water4.org.

Thank you for fighting alongside us as we use faith, innovation and empowerment to reimagine a world free from the water crisis!

Your will or living trust is a legal document that should be created with the help of an attorney. The following language may aid you and your attorney in preparing your bequest to Water4:

“I give, devise, and bequeath $ _______ (dollar amount, specific asset, or percentage of my residual estate) in ______ (cash, securities, or other property) to Water4, Inc. (Tax ID #26-3260581) – an Oklahoma nonprofit corporation located at 2405 NW 10th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73107 – for Water4’s general use and purpose.”

Your gift will be unrestricted unless directed for a specific purpose by a separate gift agreement. If you name Water4 as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan, please share your thoughtful intentions with us. This will allow us to show our sincere appreciation for your generosity, invite you to participate in the Water4 Legacy Circle and include your support in planning for Water4’s future.
